An Italian lunch (il pranzo) is considered the most important meal - and on Sunday at Poderi it is treated as such & has fast become an institution for those who reside on Waiheke and those very very welcome visitors .

Our Long Lunch Menu changes weekly and features the timeless classics designed to be perfectly matched with Poderi wines. ($70pp Excl Beverage)

The lunch starts @ 1230  and progresses through many courses ending with Dolci or Frommaggio @ approximately 1630. Please advise if you have time constraints. We will do our best to accommodate, but we have a saying. "There is always plenty more thyme in the garden, and there is always another ferry"

Selection of poached and marinated fish, salmon, mussels, octopus, calamari and prawns with lemon, lime, chilli, Italian parsely and Poderi Crisci olive oil.

Zucchini Alle Scapece

Lightly fried wafers of garden zucchini tossed in Balsamic and mint..

Melanzane al Pomodoro

Lightly fried eggplant with cherry tomato, capers, black olives, basil and mint.

Peperoni in Padella

Capsicum prepared with black olives, capers, and Italian parsley.

Primo Piatto

Lasagna Pastacciata

Freshly rolled pasta sheets layered with cream of leek, aromatic ragu and fancy mushrooms.

Secondo

Tagliata di Manzo

Age angus sirloin with braise of beetroot and shallot, honey wilted garden greens, pinenuts and sultanas, garlic cream and Poderi Crisci “Viburno” Jus.

 

Dolce

Tiramisu.

Savoiardi sponge fingers with espresso and Italian liquer, layered with mascarpone sabayon and dusted with rich dark cocoa powder.
