The Chef

Sal Grant is renowned for his passion for food his style has been influenced through an array of culinary classics and modern bistro, his innovative food ideas are well executed, with an sal grantunderstanding and respect of quality ingredients he believes is the key into creating great honest food.

After completing his professional studies, he commenced training under the watchful eye of chef Warwick Brown at Mikano in the mid 90s.

Returning home from overseas led him to work with Antonio Crisci. Alongside his nephew Sergio Maglione at Toto` they inspired Sal with their classic and modern approach to Italian cuisine.



The Executive


Antonio Crisci learnt to cook with his grandmother in his mother’s kitchen in Napoli and was 19 when he opened his first restaurant in Italy.

Antonio is a renowned Auckland restaurateur opening hugely successful Toto restaurant, Il Forno Café in Ponsonby, modern Italian bistro NSP and his latest venture and passion Poderi Crisci.

Antonio loves being an owner/operator of his restaurants; he gives constant attention to detail and has the possibility to "entirely express my vision of food being an integral part of life”.
