Poderi Crisci 2006 Merlot
PODERI CRISCI Merlot has a rounded fruitfulness,
with low natural acidity giving a lush mouth feel. Grapes
are hand picked and meticulously selected. The wine has a
natural affinity to French oak barrel and with ripe fruit
we leave it to mature in barrique for 18 months, using 30%
new oak. We press into barrels after primary fermentation.
Final blending includes a small percentage of Cabernet Franc.
The nose has aromas black and red fruit
mingled with cedar wood and cigar box. The multi layered palate
is distinctively merlot with wonderful black cherry flavors.
This elegant wine is full bodied with fine tannins and a nice
persistent finish. Pallet: The red fruit follows through on
the pallet but also blackberries and plums
Concentrated and full
A fine tannin structure
(cigar box)
Reminiscent of an Italian wine

Pinot Grigio flavours beautifully pronounced.

Floral, rich honeysuckle, stewed quince with
hints of mango and peaches.
Rosewater or Turkish delight on the nose. Followed
by a dense, full and creamy palate with flavors of quince
and pear with some nutty characters.
